Chalking up 21915+ meters (well, yards, okay, -10% difference!) in the pool from 20 Aug until 27 Aug — one for every day alive on the planet with a few extra on *the* day … long way to go. Short time to do it in:
- Monday: 2000 – ok
- Tuesday: 2500 – ok
- Wednesday: 3000 – ok
- Thursday: 3000 – ok
- Friday: 3000 – ok
- Saturday: 3000 – ok
- Sunday: 3000 – ok
- Monday: 4000 – oh-fokkin’-kay
That’s 23,500 — does that mean I’ve only got another 1585 days left?
All this at The Splash which is closed for the season except for lap swimming 0600-1800 daily. Trying to pick times when the UV radiation level isn’t maximal, but even so, quickly turning a roasted-almond color after years of controlled and limited solar exposure whenever outside. That is, except for the years as lifeguard and surfer.
